Nutrition Program

Animal Nutrition Fund sponsors canines suffering from conditions that require specific and immediate nutritional and emergency veterinary care.

Many pet owners, at one point or another, are faced with unexpected illness of their canine, much of which is caused by poor nutrition.  In the last few years, large statistical studies have shown the link between the diet (of processed foods) and a variety of degenerative diseases, including cancer, heart disease, liver failure, kidney disease, skin abnormalities, allergies, arthritis, obesity, dental disease, etc. Luckily many of these diseases are preventable, and reversible with a specifically tailored diet and immediate veterinary care.

Through this program we hope not only to help individual canines but also provide a support systems to canine owners through the help of our community. We seek to educate the general public pet food ingredients, ingredient definitions, labeling, and dietary ailments resulting from processed commercial pet food, including the most commonly know brands. Veterinary medicine has advanced to such a degree that caregivers have new, and often expensive, options for the care of their ailing pets. Animal nutrition fund will cover these costs as well as provide your companion with the medications and diet to overcome their illness, no matter how small or large.
